The publication is dedicated to one of the most important methods of diagnosing glaucoma – optical coherence tomography. Contains information about the main directions of the use of spectral optical coherence tomography. Consistently considers the possibility of research by means of SD-OCT nerve fiber layer in the peripapillary retina, the inner layers of the macular region, including ganglion cells, optic disc, lattice membrane of the sclera and choroidal as for early diagnosis of glaucoma and for determining its progression.
