Ufa takes the leading ophthalmologists in the world

The conference in Ufa is proof that the institution really became the "educational base" for ophthalmologists, said the Director of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of Muharram Bikbov. The Institute constantly conducted research and development, established a school of pediatric ophthalmology, is developing cooperation with many Russian and international medical organizations.
For many years of fruitful work for the benefit of science of the Republic Academy of Sciences of Belarus awarded the Ufa scientific research Institute honorary diploma and a cash certificate for the purchase of equipment.
In the framework of the conference "East-West-2012" will be held international courses in vitreoretinal surgery, age-related macular degeneration and ophthalmic manifestations of diabetes, satellite symposia, presentations, poster session with a competition for the best poster presentations. During the event, experts will explore the topical issues of diagnostics and treatment of glaucoma, corneal surgery and refractive surgery, will discuss basic aspects of pediatric ophthalmological diseases, inflammatory eye diseases, will hold exhibition operations on modern equipment.

Ufascientific research Institute of eye diseases - the establishment of wide profile, ophthalmic, scientific, diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational center of Belarus. The Institute carries out innovative projects for the treatment of congenital and acquired diseases of the cornea. For the first time in Russia developed by ophthalmic device for cross linking of corneal collagen "Uplink", which allows to improve optimalisations indices of the cornea and slow down the progression of keratectasia.
