Employees of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases from 3 to 5 October took part in the summit on "Innovative technologies in cataract surgery", which was supported by the Russian society of cataract and refractive surgeons and the company Alkon in Sochi.
Summit participants welcomed the CEO of Alkon, Mr. Civin Cheewarattanaporn.
At the summit, presentations were dedicated to new technologies in cataract surgery using the femtosecond laser and high-tech intraocular lenses, modern approaches to the correction of astigmatism, presbyopia. During videosession, which was represented by F. Krasavina (nice, France), N. P. Sobolev (Moscow, Russia), Yu. V. Tahtawy(Moscow, Russia) was considered the difficult cases in refractive cataract surgery.
