The delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases took part in the VII forum of Ophthalmic AROF-2014
From 30 September to 2 October 2014, Moscow hosted the "VI Russian National Ophthalmological Forum" – AROF – 2014. The forum was attended by over 1200 delegates from 84 regions of the Russian Federation, guests from Italy, USA, India, Greece. A delegation of the Institute was represented by Director, Professor Bikbov M. M., chief physician, PhD Marvanova Z. R., acting head of Department. scientific – educational Department, PhD Sagadatova N. M. The forum was opened by the chief ophthalmologist of the healthcare Ministry of the Russian Federation, Director of fsbi "Moscow research Institute of eye diseases. Helmholtz," Professor neroev V. V., report on "the State of Russian ophthalmology service in the light of the problems of the health system". Professor V. V. Neroev noted that in recent years the legislative framework of the national health care has changed the terms of the financing, practically formed a new legislative framework for the provision of medical assistance to citizens of the country, the formation of legal documents.

- Vitreoretinal disease: pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment.
- Ophthalmooncology. Recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment.
VII Russian interregional Symposium "Liquidation of eliminable blindness: world initiative of the who "Vision 2020". Elimination of preventable blindness due to corneal blindness and inflammatory pathology".
- The role of experimental studies in the development of ophthalmology.
- Modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. Problems of neuroprotection.
- Laser technology in ophthalmology.
The first day of the forum was completed "live surgery", which included a femtosecond in cataract surgery, ultrasound phacoemulsification with implantation of the latest models of IOL. Surgery was performed by leading ophthalmic surgeons of the Moscow research Institute of eye diseases. Helmholtz.
Professor Bikbov M. M. presented the report "Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the anterior eye in the Republic of Bashkortostan" at the meeting of the VII Russianinterregional Symposium "Liquidation of eliminable blindness: world initiative of the who "Vision 2020". Elimination of preventable blindness due to corneal and inflammatory diseases".
The forum held a meeting of the relevant Committee in ophthalmology and pediatric ophthalmology under the Expert Council of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation on which reported information about the development of criteria of quality of medical care (chief physician mnii GB named. Helmholtz, M. P., Kharlampidi) and discussed Federal guidelines for some diseases (retinoblastoma, herpetic keratitis or bacterial corneal ulcer, burn eye injury, tuberculous uveitis, congenital cataract, endocrine ophthalmopathy, friendly strabismus).
Was organized an extensive scientific and educational program that includes 26 satellite symposia, organised with
the support of the companies-partners of the conference. Reports and presentations were presented by leading Russian and foreign ophthalmologists. Russian society of cataract and refractive surgeons (RSCRS) held a regular meeting on femtolasers in corneal surgery. Young specialists presented their reports at the session "Modern methods of diagnosis and treatment in the system is the elimination of preventable blindness". Following the meeting, it was determined the best works and their authors were awarded with diplomas. All the days the forum was accompanied by an exhibition of ophthalmic equipment, instruments, medicines leading domestic and foreign companies. According to the materials of the conference was issued the collection of scientific papers "VI Russian national ophthalmological forum" in 2 vols.
