The staff of the Institute participated in the work of the 19th ESCRS winter Congress

The delegation included the heads of the departments PhD fayzrahmanova R. R., PhD Usubov E. L., and PhD Khusnitdinov I. I. participated in the work of the 19-th winter Congress of the European society of cataract and refractive surgeons. This annual international Congress of ophthalmology was held from 20 to 22 February in Istanbul (Turkey).
In the Congress participated more than 3 thousand experts and researchers in the field of pathology of the anterior eye segment from 27 countries. The venue was chosen Hotel Hilton in the Central part of Istanbul. The scientific program of the Congress included 12 main sessions, 7 training courses and 5 satellite symposia.
The staff of our Institute presented 2 oral presentation:
- M. Bikbov, R. Fayzrakhmanov. The choice of tamponade vitreal cavity in patients on macular surgery depending on the Zinn ligaments functionality after рhacoemulsification.
- M. Bikbov, E. Usubov, Y. Burkhanov Femtolaser assistant ultrasound phacoemulsification of complicated cataract with a narrow pupil.
The report fayzrahmanova R. R. has caused a lively debate about the method of tamponade of the anterior chamber of the eye in patients with retinal pathology, because a number of surgeons for this purpose uses air, the other cellulose.
At the session of posters of the members of the Institute presented the following reports:
- I. Zaydullin, M. Bikbov. Result of intrascleral and intracapsular fixation of foldable IOL in children with lens subluxation.- R. Abdullin. Revisiting the management of immature traumatic cataract.
- G. Zainutdinova, M. Bikbov, E. Lukyanova. Analysis of long-term results of surgical treatment ofadvanced keratoconus in adolescents.
- I. Khusnutdinov, M. Bikbov, O. Chayka. Results of cataract phacoemulsification after Ahmed valve drainage implantation.
The report Khusnutdinova I. became the winner of competition "Best poster presentation ESCRS winter 2015".
The conference included presentations on the use of shunts combined cataract and glaucoma surgery with the purpose of activation of uveoscleral outflow of intraocular fluid of glucocorticoids in the treatment of macular edema zone after conducting phacoemulsification, etc.
More than 44 companies participated in the exhibition, which presented modern diagnostic and surgical systems for anterior and posterior segments of the eye. Noteworthy is the fact that the Ufa scientific research Institute GB has all the modern Arsenal of such equipment, which determines its high status among eye care centers.
Employee participation UV NII GB an RB in the work of the 19-th winter Congress of the European society of cataract and refractive surgery indicates a high level of research and recognition of the Institute of international ophthalmology community.
