The staff of the Ufa Eye Research Institute (Deputy Director for Research – N. E. Shevchuk, head of the scientific Research Department – Ph. D. Babushkin A. E.) took part in III International Symposium "Autumn refractive readings. Myopia: disease or violation of refraction?", conducted  FSBSI "Scientific Eye  Research Institute" of Russian Academy of medical Sciences on 19-20 October 2012 At the conference discussed the issues refraktogenesis, biomechanical aspects, anatomical and functional state of the eye in myopia and surgical correction. A lively discussion was sparked skleroplastic with progressive myopia, as well as the choice of the optical power correction in which was conducted the online survey of Symposium participants.
