The staff of the Institute participated in the work of the XIII scientific-practical conference with international participation "Modern technologies in cataract and refractive surgery - 2012", which took place from 25 to 27 October 2012 in Moscow and was devoted to the 85 anniversary from the birthday of academician S. N. Fedorov. The conference held lectures teaching course of the European society of cataract and refractive surgeons and American Academy of ophthalmology. Videosesso screenings of films on non-standard and complicated cases cataract surgery, as well as award - winning films of videofestival Congress of the American society of cataract and refractive surgeons.

The conference addressed actual problems of ophthalmology, in particular, features of technique and results of phacoemulsification of complicated cataracts. Khusnitdinov I. I. presented an oral report about the technique of fixing of an artificial lens to the sclera in phacoemulsification of complicated cataract with defects of ligaments, which was developed by ophthalmologists of Ufa research Institute of eye diseases.
