Participation in the meeting of ophthalmologists at the discussion of tactics of treatment of patients with macular disease, Swiss Eye Institute, December 2-4, Bern (Switzerland)
2-4 December in Bern (Switzerland) based Swiss Eye Institute held a meeting of ophthalmologists from different countries to discuss the tactics of treatment of patients with macular pathology with the use of antimonopolization therapy. The meeting included lecture material presented by Professor Justus G. Garweg.
In the working group meeting was attended by ophthalmologists from Lebanon, Iran, Algeria, UK, Germany. From Russia have been invited MD, head of the Department of vitreoretinal and laser surgery R. R. fayzrakhmanov. The most controversial issues was the discussion of the mode antimonopolization therapy PRN and Treat-and-Extend Regiment, as well as indications for a differentiated approach to the use of Ranibizumab and Aflibercept. Today still debate the necessity of the blockade of placental factor in choroidal neovascularization. It should be noted that in the practice of the Swiss Eye Institute uses and bevacizumab adapted for intravitreal injection, which determines the possibility of blockade of several pathogenetic mechanisms of development of macular edema.
In the process, ophthalmologists met diagnostic routing patients. It should be noted that in the Ufa scientific research Institute GB Arsenal of diagnostic equipment that conforms to international standards, which will determine the possibility of developing criteria for providing eye care.
