Traditionally every two years in different parts of the globe is one of the most significant events of the "world of ophthalmology" - the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC). In 2016 the occasion of the XXXV anniversary of the Congress had one of the most interesting countries in the world – Mexico.
From 5 to 9 February 2016 in Mexico, Guadalajara, in the exhibition center "EXPO Guadalajara" WOC2016 was held, which was attended by ophthalmologists from all continents, representing more than 40 countries.
A distinctive feature of these measures is their scale. The number of participants reached more than 6,000 people. The scientific program of the conference was presented 230 scientific sessions, more than 2000 reports. The interest of ophthalmologists was also videocomedy and electronic posters.
In the framework of the world Congress held a conference of the society of Ophthalmologists of Mexico and the pan American Congress of ophthalmologists, representing countries from North, Central and South America.
The Congress was an exhibition of modern ophthalmic equipment, instruments and pharmaceutical products of leading manufacturers on the world market and on the American continent.
