"EAST-WEST" scientific-practical conference on ophthalmosurgery with international participation

The conference was attended by foreign experts from UK, Germany, Austria, Japan, India, Pakistan and others At the conference addressed the issues of almost all areas of ophthalmology. Particular emphasis is placed on latest achievements in high-tech surgery.
The conference program was intense, for 2 days, 8 plenary sessions and 5 satellite symposia were presented 97 reports. The conference hosted International courses on vitreoretinal surgery, age-related macular degeneration and ophthalmic manifestations of diabetes, which are organized and conducted together with the University of Mannheim Heidelberg (Germany).
At the conference you can get acquainted with the exhibition of pharmaceutical preparations, ophthalmic equipment from major domestic and foreign companies, including innovative products of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases.

The fruitful work of scientists and the ophthalmologist within 2 days facilitated the exchange of experience, acquaintance with the latest achievements in the fieldophthalmology.
In Ufa on June 7-8, 2012 on the basis of state budgetary institution "research Institute UV GB an RB" held a regular scientific and practical conference on ophthalmosurgery with international participation "East-West" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Institute. The number of participants practically from all regions of the Russian Federation, Belarus, CIS and far abroad - 516.

Demonstration of modern high technologies of ophthalmic surgery was carried out of the operating Institute, the operations were carried out by leading specialists of Russia and foreign countries.
Opened the conference and presented the activities of the Institute in historical perspective, the Director of the SBI "Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus" Prof. M. M. Bikbov. With welcoming speech to the participants of the conference were: Deputy Prime Minister of RB Government of Yamaltdinov F. A., the Minister of health of Belarus Shabaev G. A. Vice-PresidentAcademy of Sciences of Belarus, corresponding member. An RB Kunakova, V. M., heads of leading research institutes of the country, representatives of major scientific ophthalmic schools, foreign guests. The speakers congratulated the Institute on the significant date, said long-term work of ophthalmic services in the Republic and Russia as a whole.
Parallel to the plenary meetings, the conference was held 6 satellite symposia, the topics reflected the most topical areas of ophthalmic science and practice. Was presented 22 poster presentations, the winners of which were determined on a competitive basis and awarded with diplomas.
