Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was developed in the late 1980-ies, and from 2013 we can safely say that it is one of the most important auxiliary diagnostic methods in ophthalmology and, undoubtedly, the most important auxiliary diagnostic method to assess the condition of the retina.
