February 8, Russia celebrates the Day of science
At the meeting of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan has summed up the results of work of scientific communities. Among the main activities in 2013 were marked by the conference "East-West 2013", which gathered the largest number of ophthalmologists from different countries. The conference was given as an example of the organization of such events.
On the eve of science Day the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov gave special grants of the Republic.
Grant received more than 300 applications in category the best innovative projects. Among the participants were representatives of various sectors: chemistry, physics, medicine and many others. The main selection criterion was the contribution to the development of the Republic at the end of 2013.
At the end of the selection from 300 presented scientific papers noted 30. Among healthcare institutions is the only representative was the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases. The staff of the Department of vitreoretinal and laser surgery Faizrakhmanov Rinat Rustamovich, the head of the Department PhD, Yarmuhamedova Aliya Liderovna, senior researcher, Ph. D. was awarded for the work presented in a monograph – Age-related maculardegeneration (Bikbov M. M., Faizrakhmanov R. R., Yarmuhamedova A. L. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov: "Our Academy of Sciences has played a significant role in order not to lose the science, that managed to organize the scientific community and to keep the scientific core. But this is not enough, of course, need development, need dynamics and new results".
