The staff of the UF Institute of GB participated in the world Ophthalmology Congress WOC 2014, 2 - 6 April 2014, Tokyo (Japan)
The venue of the Congress were the International Forum and Imperial Hotel located in the centre of the capital. World Ophthalmology Congress is held once in two years and is the leading event for the global ophthalmic community.
Scientific program of the Congress, organized by the specialists of ophthalmology from around the world, was very rich, covering almost all areas of ophthalmology. Experts have organized more than 500 scientific sessions, including symposia, case studies, didactics and interactive programs. More than 2000 internationally recognized speakers presented their latest works and scientific innovation to a wide audience.

In the course of the Congress held a session of the ophthalmic communities of Japan, Turkey, USA, Canada, Netherlands, European countries, as well as sessions of interactive posters and video symposia.
One day of the Congress was devoted to the latest scientific discoveries in glaucoma, retinal diseases, cataract, pediatric ophthalmology, addressed the issues oculoplastic, refractive surgery etc.
Exhibition of ophthalmic equipment and instruments, held in the framework of the Congress, joined a lot of companies. WOC 2014 was held in Japan in the most wonderful time of the year - in the spring, when every Park you can see cherry blossoms. And of course, cherry blossoms added beauty to the lovely friendly background international meetings of ophthalmologists.
