The staff of the Ufa Eye Research Institute (Deputy Director for scientific and production work – dB.N. N. E. Shevchuk, head. the scientific research Department – Ph. D. Babushkin A. E.) took part in III International Symposium "Autumn refractive readings. Myopia: disease or violation of refraction?", conducted fgbu "scientific research Institute of eye diseases" of Russian Academy of medical Sciences on 19-20 October 2012 At the conference discussed the issues refraktogenesis, biomechanical aspects, anatomical and functional state of the eye in myopia and surgical correction. A lively discussion was sparked skleroplastic with progressive myopia, as well as the choice of the optical power correction in which was conducted the online survey of Symposium participants.
