TROS Virtual Meeting - December, 20

On December, 20 the first Virtual Meeting of TROS members was held. Speakers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan attended the meeting. 

The speakers were free to talk in Turkish, English, or Russian.

The first meeting proved to be successful and it is planned to hold such meetings monthly.

The theme of the online meeting was Cataract and Refractive Surgery.  There were presented 6 papers followed by questions and discussion. 

Ufa Eye Research Institute was presented by the eye surgeon of the 2nd Microsurgery Department Ildar Nuriev with his paper “The use of toric IOLs in non-standard cases”. One of the moderators of the meeting was the Head of the Corneal Surgery Department Emin Usubov. 

  

  

  

The President of TROS Professor Oner Gelisken expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers and highlited the importance of such online meetings for sharing experience and knowledge. 

We congratulate Odentsov Medal Laureate and former TROS President Dr. Sunay Duman on having been elected as the Honored President of Turkish Ophthalmological Society.
