On March 26-29 in the city of Sorrento (Italy) took place the 6-th scientific-practical conference World Congress on Controversies in Ophthalmology (COPHy). The conference was attended by the delegate of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases PhD Kuzbekov S. R. the Congress was attended by representatives of 45 countries. The Russian Federation was represented by 25 doctors from a leading eye clinics. During the meetings the sides discussed modern approaches to the treatment of macular edema of various origins. The exhibition featured new ophthalmic equipment from leading manufacturers. A feature of this Congress was the format, which includes significant allocation of time for interactive debates and questions from the audience to each panel of experts. The participants took an active part in the discussions.

The main directions of the conference work:

  • Pathology of the anterior segment of the eye;
  • Pathology of the retina;
  • Treatment of glaucoma;
  • Inflammatory diseases;
  • Neuroophthalmology;
  • Ophthalmooncology;
  • Ophthalmotraumatology.

Participation in this international Congress has allowed to learn a lot about modern surgical and conservative methods of treatment of ophthalmological diseases, the use of which in daily practice will improve the quality of care for our patients and to achieve high results.
