10-12 March in Athens (Greece) hosted a conference, organized by Allergan. Conference on new technologies in ophthalmology. The conference was held at the hotel Intercontinental athenaeum athens hotel. The conference was attended by more than 800 ophthalmologists from all over the world. From Russia the conference was attended by 7 ophthalmologists from various cities of Russia. Ufa research Institute of eye diseases presented Ph. D. head of the Department of vitreoretinal and laser surgery Faizrakhmanov R. R.

Central retina mapping in treatment of consequences of retinal vein thrombosis with insertion of intravitreal dexamethasone implant (M. M. Bikbov, R. Fayzrakhmanov R.)
The conference presents the progress of ophthalmology in recent times, including implants with neuroprotective function, new drainage technologies in the pathology of anterior and posterior eye.
Most interesting was the lecture Bertrand Piccard, founder of a solar-powered aircraft, the possibility of development of modern technologies.
