28 Oct 2016 held a regular meeting of Bashkir regional branch of the Society of ophthalmologists of Russia and regional offices in the Republic of Bashkortostan the all-Russian public organization "Association of ophthalmologists".
In the conference took part more than 180 ophthalmologists of the Republic. The conference was combined with celebration of Day of older persons was invited by the employees who have worked for many years in the Institute.
The meeting was opened by the first Deputy Chairman of the Society of ophthalmologists of Russia, Director of the Institute, Professor Bikbov M. M., having welcomed the veterans and presenting a report on "the Evolution of corneal crosslinking". The veterans listened with interest about the latest achievements of the Institute in the field of treatment of diseases of the cornea, with pleasure communicated with his former colleagues and the youth Institute. All of the spouses and awarded with valuable gifts. The friendly attitude of staff, friendly atmosphere while drinking tea, pleasant memories about the years of work at the Institute – all this remained in the hearts of veterans.
The scientific program of the conference was presented by demonstrations of clinical cases in surgery and reports. Great interest was aroused by video operations – surgical treatment of ectopia of the lens (surgeon – MD, PhD, Absalyamov M. S.) and phacoemulsification of complicated cataract with the imposition of purse-string suture to the iris (surgeon – MD, PhD of Khusnitdinov I. I.).

There were 5 reports on topical issues of treatment of diseases of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye. Professor Aznabaev R. A. presented the report on the theme: "a Contemporary look at diagnosis and treatment of uveitis". Staff Ufrii eye diseases made presentations:
-- M. D. Babushkin A. E. "the Efficacy of mono and combination therapy of open-angle glaucoma by prostaglandins",
– M. D. Bikbulatov A. A. "Treatment and prevention of dry eye syndrome in the postoperative period",
MD Faizrakhmanov R. R. – "Early therapy and prevention of age-related macular degeneration",
– MD Akmanova AA– "Differential diagnosis of diseases of the anterior segment of the eye in children and rational antibiotic therapy".
The conference was held in a friendly atmosphere, discussion of presentations and lively discussion.
