On March 16-17, the 15th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Modern Technologies for the Treatment of Vitreoretinal Pathology" was held. Previously, this annual event was held in the Interbranch Scientific and Technical Complex (ISTC) "Eye Microsurgery", Moscow, but in 2017 the conference went beyond the center and was held in Sochi. In the city on the Black Sea coast the leading experts in the field of ophthalmology from Russia and abroad have gathered to exchange new knowledge and share their experience with colleagues.

The conference opening ceremony began with the presentation of the General Director of ISTC “Eye Microsurgery”, Professor Alexander Chukhraev. He noted that the 15th conference on the treatment of vitreoretinal pathology is taking place in the year of the 90th anniversary of Academician S.N. Fedorov, and this is a great event not only for Russian, but also for world ophthalmology. He expressed his gratitude to Professor Valery Zakharov for his dedication to the ideas of S.N. Fedorov.
